My experience at BYD Stoke

I would not recommend BYD Stoke based on my experience. While the sales team seemed great on the day of purchase, there was no follow-up afterwards. My sales representative was rarely available on the phone, and I received several unfulfilled promises of call-backs.

I also paid extra for additional products which were not provided at handover. I had to return to the dealership to have this corrected, causing me to take time off work. Despite the inconvenience, there was no apology or acknowledgment.

The handover itself was disappointing — I was not shown how to use any of the technology, which is a key selling point of a BYD vehicle. My sales representative did not set up my app, and it was only during my inconvenient return visit that the service department arranged for another team member to help. I later learned this could easily have been done before collection, as the car had already been at the dealership for several days.

Although the service team and some other sales staff were helpful, my overall experience was poor. I am still having to rely on forums and online resources to understand basic features of my car, as the dealership failed to provide any guidance. At collection, the blanket was simply removed from the car, and my sales representative moved straight on to another customer, leaving me feeling dismissed and unsupported.
